Asbury United Methodist Episcopal Church was
organized on march 25, 1930 by the Reverend Francis H. Spear, its first
pastor. Groundbreaking for the church occurred on June 25, 1932. Over
the next 9 years, funds were raised to build the church. Services were
held in what is now our social hall until the completion of the
sanctuary on May 26, 1940. Since that time, Asbury United Methodist has
grown with its community offering a spiritual home to all.
